    In a medium skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté for about 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked rice, broccoli florets, sautéed onion and garlic, shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, chicken or vegetable broth, milk, dried thyme, black pepper, and salt. Mix well until everything is evenly distributed.
